Obituary: Nora L. Coffey Bocock Source: Augusta Co., VA newspaper - she died in 1940 Contributor: Wayne Coffey --------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Nora L. Bocock, sixty-eight, died at her home near Stuarts Draft at twelve-fifteen this morning. She had been in failing health for a number of years. She was a native of Augusta county, a daughter of E. F. and Sarah Smith Coffey. Surviving are two sons, Frank at home; and Dr. Allan Bocock, of Gallinger hospital, Washington; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Bocock and Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, Huntington, W. Va.; Miss Pearl Coffey and Mrs. J.N. Foster, Stuarts Draft. Mrs. Bocock for thirty years was a teacher in the Augusta county public school system, and had taught earlier in life in Indian school system in New Mexico and Nevada. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. The funeral will be held Wednesday at eleven o’clock from Calvary Methodist church, in charge of an Episcopal minister, assisted by the Rev. A. VanDevander. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers will be: active, Oscar Cohron, Isaac Fitzgerald, James Wade, George Smith, Gilly Howard, William Bussey; honorary, Dr. J. H. Thomas, R. S. Moffett, Harry Moffett, Leonard Coffey, Ernest Coffey, Harry Gayheart, Mr. Kimball, L. B. Bosseman, Preston Alexander, Dreino Cash, T. P. Byers, D. G.
