Contributor: Oscar Nuckols ------------------------------------------------------ STUARTS DRAFT -- Edna Lee Coffey, 79, of Route 1, Box 347, Stuarts Draft, went to be with Jesus at 12:40 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 14, 1999) at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville. She was born July 19, 1920 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of William Jeffery Clark and Jessie Mays Clark. She was a homemaker, a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church and attended White Hall Church of the Brethren. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1941 as class valedictorian. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Earl D. Coffey, Jr.; a brother, Hoyle S. Clark, and a sister, Lucille Hanger. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Earl D. Coffey; daughters Edna Dunn and her husband Bobby, Gayle Arehart and her husband Wayne, Sara Link and her husband Glenn, and Donna K. Bosserman, and a special friend, Darryl Bosserman; sisters Pinky Clark and Bessie Clark, both of Mount Sidney, Helen Wagner of Staunton, Hazel Hirtriter of Verona, Bertie Nicely of Fairfield and Shirley Huffer of Churchville. Her surviving grandchildren are Eric Roughgarden; Amy Arehart Mawyer and her husband, Mike; a special friend, Todd Phillips; Krystal Brooke Roughgarden; Michelle Lynn Dunn; Michael E. Link and financee Brooke Jarvis; Keith Dustin Link and Kevin Todd Link. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the White Hill Church of the Brethren by the Rev. James Chappell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Ray Nicely. William C. Clark, Emmet W. Hanger, Ted and Bobby Huffer, Don, Tim, and John Hirtriter, James Liptrap and Kenny Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will he Debbie Prater, Janet Coyner, Thelma Crist, Betty Ann Lotts, Wanda Sue Garrison, Mildred Hodge, Mary Gorski and Barbara Huffer. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad P.O.
