Obituary: MARY L. ROBINSON, 31 Dec 1991 Source: Staunton Daily News Leader - ~January 2, 1992 Contributor: Wayne Coffey ------------------------------------------------------- Mary Hunter (Lupton) Robinson, 47, of 500 C St., died Tuesday (December 31, 1991) in King's Daughters' Hospital following an illness of one month. She was born July 26, 1917 in Woodridge, Albemarle County, a daughter of John H. and Lucy James (Harlow) Lupton. She received a B.S. degree in education from Madison College. Prior to retirement, she had taught in Augusta County and Newark, Ohio schools. She was a member of the Staunton branch of the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Lupton-Robinson was past president of Churchville Woman's Club and President Elect of the Extension Homemakers Club. She was also active in Republican Women and American Association of Retired Persons. She leaves behind two sons, Charles "Chuck" Thomas Robinson Jr. of Salina, KS, and Henry "Hank" Austin Robinson Sr. of Deerfield; a daughter, Lucy Nelson Robinson of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph (Helen) Leach of Verona, and Mrs. Cecil (Eloise) Corry of Arlington; six grandchildren, Mrs. Dan (Laura) Campbell of Newark, OH, Henry A. Robinson Jr., Juan G. Robinson, and Jessica H. Robinson, all of New Jersey; Mrs. Clint (Rhonda) Eustler of Staunton, and Mrs. Tony S. (Kimberly) Sprouse of Stuarts Draft; two great-grandsons; and a former daughter-in-law, Betty S. Robinson of Verona. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Bear Funeral Chapel by President David Warnick. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas K. Pugmire, David Henderson, D.E. "Buddy" Robinson, Stephen D. Robinson, Vaughn Kimbrell, and Joshua E. Coiner. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Sam Hart, the Rev. Billy J. Boggs, T.M. "Jim" Rife, William "Bill" Kincaid, and John G. Hart. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Churchville First Aid Crew, P.O.
