EDWARD THOMAS TOWBERMAN 

E.T. TOWBERMAN DIES AT CLIFTON FORGE 

  Edward Thomas Towberman, eighty-five died Sunday in Clifton Forge hospital, 
where he had been taken earlier in the day for an operation.  He died, however 
before the operation could be performed.

  His is survived by his widow, Mrs. Blanche Lair Towberman; three sons, Paul, 
Staunton; Leslie, Charlottesville; Edward Jr., Goshen; a daughter, Miss 
Dorothy Towberman, Goshen; two grandsons, Paul Jr., Staunton, Frank, 
Charlottesville.

  The funeral was held at the Goshen Baptist Church today at three o’clock the 
Rev. Jesse F. Colston, the pastor, officiating.

   Cemetery, Middlebrook, Augusta Co.  (Find a Grave Mem. #54904380) 

Edward's father Henry TOWBERMAN (27 Jun 1833 - 16 Nov 1857) is buried in 
   Bethany Church Cemetery, Augusta Co.  (Find a Grave Mem. #82921425) 

His mother Mary Margaret (COFFMAN) TOWBERMAN (6 May 1839 - 14 Jan 1901) 
   2m. John H. BATIS Dec 1863; widowed again, she 3m. Russell Newman WALLACE 
   11 Oct 1870 in Staunton.  They are buried in Lebanon Presbyterian Church 
   Cemetery, Goshen, Rockbridge Co.  (Find a Grave Mem. #79857662)
