All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for James Robert Taylor, 66, of Baxter will be held Thursday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 21, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Stanton, Va., to the late William H. and Sudie Elizabeth Cox Taylor. Mr. Taylor attended Baxter Church of Christ. He worked as a life insurance agent at Home Beneficial/American General Insurance for 41 1/2 years prior to his retirement. He was also an avid bass angler. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His family includes his wife, Katie Jan Taylor of Baxter; a daughter and son-in-law, Jamie Anne and Joey M. Thomas of Cookeville; two sons and daughter-in-law, James W. and Cristie Y. Taylor of Cookeville and Robert Jeffrey Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Doug Wharton of Buford, Ga., and Betty and Fred Ragland of Hendersonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Betty Taylor of Cookeville and Virgil and Yvonne Taylor of Buford, Ga.; a grandson, Chase Tay Thomas of Cookeville; a granddaughter, Jana Lov Taylor of Cookeville; an unborn grandson, Jacob Taylor of Cookeville; and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Loyd Ford, Lehman Bush and Billy Mahan. Pallbearers will be Roy Williams, Doug Wharton, Fred Ragland, Donald Alcorn, Tracy Thompson and Danny Bush. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Neal, Mark Bush, John Martin, Thomas, Norman and Chris Sparks, Randy Ragland, Hugh Officer, Ricky Mahan, Bill Kellman and Mr. Taylor's co-workers at Home Beneficial/American General Insurance Company.
