I being in low state of health but Sound Mind and Judgment and knowing that it is appointed for all men one to die and observing from my advanced and decay of Natural Strength that my departure out of this world drawing neigh. I think it is my duty to set my house in order or dispose of what Little estate God hath Blessed me with in this world in the following manner but first I commend my soul to God who gave it & my Body to the dust to be buried in a decent and Christian Manner at the discretion of my Executors the charges paid out of my Estate and after these and all my other debts are paid off I leave and Bequeath the rest of my Estate in the following Manner Impromis I b Bequeath my Real Estate Two Hundred and Sixty Acres lying upon a Branch of Lenvels Creek to my sons John and Thomas to be equally divided between them as they shall see proper either as to the ground & true value of it to there proper use and their heirs forever. Item I bequeath to my daughter Martha Woods to my Sons Robert George & William Poage & to my daughters Elizabeth Crawford and Margaret Robertson to each of these here named one Pistol as a token of Remembrance of them & Love of each of them And as I Constitute appoint approve of and declare to be my Last Will and Testament in opposition to Will or Wills made by me prior to the date hereof And I hereby Constitute my trusty and well beloved friends Mr. William Lewis and my son John Poage Executors of this my last Will and Testament & in Witness where I here into subscribe my name and affix my seal this Twentieth day October Anno Domini 1773.
