HUNTER I David S. Hunter, Seignor (sic) of the County of Augusta State of Virginia do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and first I direct that my body be decently buried and first I appoint John M. Rymel as my Executor and as to such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows; first I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as posible (sic) out of the first moneys (sic) that shall come into the hands of my Executors from any portion of my estate real or personal I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Dorotha Hunter all of my Household and kitchen furniture (and also my house as a residence) as long as she remains my unmarried widow and after her death or marriage the aforesaid property is to be divided equally amongst my four children David Hunter Syrus (sic) Hunter John Hunter and Lizzie Rymel and I also give her one hundred and ten dollars yearly as long as she remains my unmarried widow said money to be paid by John T. Hunter and John M. Rymel and if she should need more for her support than the money above named said John T. Hunter and John M. Rymel are to pay it I also appoint John M. Rymel to see to her and so that she gets the spessified (sic) amount and I have Two Hundred and One Acre and a half of land known as the brian track (sic) which I value at 28 dollars per acre said land I give and bequeath unto my son John T. Hunter and my daughter Elizabeth S. Rymel said land to be divided equally between the two said line to commence on top of the ridge on a point on Jonathan Landes line an (sic) then straight through the place to a point on the line of the Abraham Switzer place and Elizabeth S. Rimel is to have that part of it next to David S. Hunter Junior and John T. Hunter is to have that part next to Jacob Switzer's land I give and bequeath unto my son David S. Hunter that porttion of my land which I have sold unto him and he never paid it being 114 acres which I value at 32 1/2 dollars per acre and further Elizabeth Rymel John L.(sic) Hunter and David S. Hunter Junior are to pay unto my son Syrus (sic) Hunter his portion in money according to the valuation of their land I want my children John T. Hunter Syrus (sic) Hunter David L. (sic) Hunter and Elizabeth Rumel (sic) to share and share a like in witness whereof I David S.Hunter Seignier (sic) the testator have to this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord 1889. David S. Hunter, Sen (seal). Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us who have subscribed in the presence of each other. Jacob W. Good, John P. Ocheltree, Michael Hollar, In Augusta County Court, June 28th 1892. This last will and testament of David S. Hunter Sen was presented in Court and proved by the oaths of Jacob W. Good John P. Ocheltree and Michael Hollar the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded it being shown to the Court that the estate real and personal passing under said will is $6000.00 ordered that the State Tax of $6.00 be paid thereon and on motion further time is allowed John M. Rymel the executor therein named to qualify hereafter if he may so elect. Teste:- William A. Burnett, Clerk. In Augusta County Court, July 25th 1892. On the motion of John M. Rymel appointed Executor under the will of David S. Hunter entered to probate at the last term it is ordered that her estate be committed to John M. Rymel for administrator thereupon the said John M. Rymel appeared in Court and made oath according to law and together with Geo W. Swink his security who justified as to his sufficiency and moreover the obligors waiving all benefit of their Homestead Exemption entered into a bond in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars payable and with condition as prescribed by law which bond was acknowledged in open Court by the obligors thereto and ordered to be recorded.
