Wood Cemetery Location: 8.5 miles south of Millboro Springs, Virginia on Route #42, near a big barn at right of road. Bath County OWNERS: (1936) R. V. Porter DESCRIPTION: Private, in poor condition with no fence around it. Most of the markers are destroyed. This cemetery dates back to the Revolution. At one time it belonged to Robert Sitlington who served in the Revolutionary War. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscription on Tombstone: Revolutionary Soldier 1775 & 1783 Daughters of the American Revolution Placed by the Ann Bailey Chapter D.A.R. SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informant: E.P. Matheney, Nimrod Hall, Virginia who states he used to live on this place, and remembers having heard the old Sitlingtons speak of this cemetery as being one of the oldest, with quite a number of the old Sitlingtons buried there.
