Obituary: Archie L. Bright Source: Staunton News Leader Contributor: Wayne Coffey --------------------------------------------------- Archie Leroy Bright, 81, of Millboro, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 14, 1963) at the Huffer Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Green Valley, Bath County, on May 23, 1881, he was a son of the late William Henry and Martha Ratliff Bright. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Windy Cove Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leola Loan Bright; five sons, Roland Bright, Millboro Springs; Marion Bright, Long Island, N.Y.; Nelson Bright, Jack Bright, Eli Bright, Baltimore, Md.; Nine daughters, Mrs. Doris Belagyl, Mrs. Margaret Gillock, Mrs. Pauline Brown, all of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Guyotha Plecker, Millboro; Mrs. Constance Thacker, Covington; Mrs. Leona Evans, Hampton; Mrs. Janet Armstrong, Newport News; Miss Ruth Bright, Hampton; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Woodzell, Jeffersonville, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. One son, Warren Bright, preceded him in death in 1957. The body is at the Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge. Funeral services will be held Sunday at one p.m. from the Woodland Church, conducted by the Rev. Parker Perkins and the Rev. Eugene Hart.
