William Leftwich) his wife, January 20th, 1762 They were married August 25h, 1779 Their First Daughter Polly (Mary) was born Aug. 25, 1779; (m. John Hopkins, son of Francis Hopkins, Sept. 2, 1800; d. Jan 10, 1848) Their second daughter Betsy, born July 10, 1781; died a triumphant death July 11m 1810, aged 29 years, one day William Leftwich Turner, their first son, Dec. 11, 1782; died in triumphant faith and hope Oct. 18, 1813, aged 30 years, 10 months, 7 days. He was a Minister. Jesse, the second son, born Jan. 11, 1785, died the 15th Jan., aged 4 days James, third son, 15th Jan, 1786, lived abour 9 mths and 5 days Jesse, fourth son, Jan 1st, 1788, died March 11th, 1863, aged 75 years. He was a Minister of the Presbyterian Church Nancy Johns, the 3rd daughter, born Nov. 22, 1789, died May 30, 1790 Nancy Johns, the 4th daughter, born 8th Jan., 1792, died Apr 22, 1850 James Gardiner, 5th son, born Mar. 25, 1794, (died Jan 14th, 1869 in Texas) John Calvin, 6th son, born the 11th May, 1797, died Oct. 7th, 1808, aged 11 years and 5 months - - lacking 4 days The 7th son without a name; born Dec. 10th, 1798, died 30th following, aged 20 days Melanothon, 8th son, born Dec. 22nd, 1799, died Aug. 26th, 1817 (or 19) Sally Leftwich, 5th daughter, born Dec. 29th, 1801, at daybreak, died Mar. 22, 1828 Mildred, 6th daughter, was born Nov. 22, 1804.
