Go two miles South to a pond and driveway with a board fence on the left. Turn into the driveway and continue on for about 1/2 mile. Our house is the only house there ( white farm house). Cemetery is located in a field about 1/8 mile from the house. There is a security system for our driveway from Goodview Road, so it is best to call ahead . There is only one marker for the Prestons. The stone is about four feet tall and reads as follows: In Memory of Christopher Preston Born March 31, 1794 - Died November 3, 1870 and Martha M. Preston His wife Born January 10, 1804 - Died June 1, 1875 The footstone has their initials (C.P) (M.M.P.) There is a stone wall surrounding the cemetery. ( Fallen side was repaired by a rock mason last year) There are several unmarked graves ( indicated by the sinking ground and rough stones set in the indentations around the wall.) There are some indications that there are more graves in our upper front yard, but no markers, again just rough stones set up in the yard. I was not sure how to submit this information, but we thought it was important because Christopher Preston was active in the area in the Methodist church, as well as a prominent land owner.
