Bedford County Virginia USGenWeb Archives Deeds Samuel GREENWOOD & wife Sinah to Samuel DAVISSON, deed, 1799 ----¤¤¤---- Samuel and Sinah Greenwood to Samuel Davisson, 10/28/1799 Bedford County Grantor Deed Book 11, page 133-134 This Indenture made this twenty Eighth Day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred & ninety nine between Saml Greenwood & Sinah his wife of the county of Bedford of the one part and Samuel Davisson of the other part of Same county Witnesseth that the said Samuel Greenwood & Sinah his wife hath for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pound to them in hand paid by the Said Samuel Davisson the receipt of which they do hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain & sell alien enfeoff and confirm to him the Said Samuel Davisson his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the county of Bedford on the head waters of the South fork of Goose Creek containing by estimation two hundred and twenty seven acres be the same more or less and boundaries followeth (Viz) begining at a pine thence a new line north Seventeen Degrees East one hundred and five poles to a to a pine in Tates line thence along the Same North fifteen Degrees West thirty four poles to a Chesnut Oak thence a new lines North fifty Six Degrees West Seventy Eight poles to pointes thence South Seventy five Degrees West One hundred poles to a pine thence North Sixty Degrees West thirty two poles to a pine thence South Six Degrees West one hundred and Eighteen poles to a pine thence South Sixty nine Degrees West forty poles to a red oak thence South Seventy One Degrees East One hundred and twenty Eight poles to a red oak thence South Seventeen Degrees East - Eighty four poles to a pine thence north fifty Seven Degrees East One hundred and fourteen poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the Said land and premises with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Samuel Davisson his heirs and assigns forever & the said Samuel Greenwood & Sinah his wife doth hereby covenant & agree for themselves their heirs Executors admi’is & assigns that they will warrant and forever Defend the said Land & premises with all and Singular its appurtenances unto the Said Samuel Davisson and to his heirs and assigns forever.
