Two additional sons, Benjamin and Robert, were killed in the Civil War.] James Ramsey, late of Bedford Co., departed life about 15 Dec. 1861. Survivors: Simon Ramsey, William Ramsey, Elizabeth Ramsey, Permelia Ramsey, Susan (wife of Wesley L. Duncan), Minerva Ramsey, Eliza (wife of William Witt), Amanda E. (wife of Obadiah Blanks), Mary C. (wife of J.B. Coffee), Albert Ramsey. 38 acres on Big Otter River adjoining Charles B. [Louney or Lowrey], James (+) Watts, John Haynes, James Rusher, Pleasant Stanley, decd. This is 30 acres from Isaac Banister and wife (Deed Bk. O, pg. 139) and 8 acres from Flanders Haynes (Deed Bk. X, pg. 293). Also household and kitchen goods, farming implements, stock and supplies. Albert Ramsey purchased shares from brothers and sisters for $60 each to be paid 1 Jan. 1883 with interest of 6% per year from 31 July 1881.
