Imprimis. I give and Bequeath to my son Robert & my two Daughters Sarah and Anne which I had by a former Wife, Twenty Shillings each. Item to my loving Wife Mary, my Sorrel Mare called Trim & To my Son George, the sorrel Horse in his Possession. To my Daughter Elizabeth, the Black Mare which I have with me & to my son Benjamin a four Year Old Sorrel Mare which was called Betty, to Them and theirs Heirs forever. All of the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Real and personal, I give and Bequeath to my said Wife Mary & the children which she Bore me Viz. George, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Joseph, Moses, John, William, James, Joshua, Mary & Jane to Them and their Heirs forever to be Equally divided among them when my Daughter Jane shall arrive at the age of Fifteen & my will is that my Wife Mary and Son George may Execute this my last Will & Testament dated this 14th day of Sep. One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty One. Signed Sealed & Published in presence of Geo. Birdwel {SL} C Clay Reuben Slaughter John Slaughter At a Court held for Bedford County, the 26th day of November 1781. This last Will and Testament of George Birdwell deceased was proved by the oaths of Charles Clay Reuben Slaughter and John Slaughter. Witnesses thereto Subscribed and ordered to be recorded and on the Motion of George Birdwell one of the Executors therein named who made oath thereto Certificate is granted him for obtaining probate in due form giving Security whereupon he Together with Robert Birdwell and John Cottrell his Securities Entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of Fifty Thousand pounds for the said Executors due and faithfull administration of the sd descendents Estate and performance of his Will.
