I Abraham North of Bedford County of perfect health & of sound memory do make this my Last will & Testament - Imprimis. I lend to my beloved wife Susanna during her Natural life the land I now live on with all the rest of my estate both real and personal except such part as is hereafter particularly given & devised - Item. I give & bequeath to my grandson William North son of William North deceased & his heirs forever a Negroe man Named Tom formerly lent to my said Son William also one hundred dollars cash when he shall arive at full age - Item. I give & bequeath to my son David North & his heirs forever a Negroe Man called Frank & a Negroe boy called Allerson - Item. I give & bequeath to my son John North and his heirs forever a Negroe man called Doctor and a Negroe boy called Mustepha also the land whereon I now live at the decease of his Mother - Item. I give & bequeath to my daughter Sarah Rucker & her heirs forever a Negroe man called Nick a Negroe Woman called Esther & her future Increase - Item. I give & bequeath to my Daughter Susanna Robertson & her heirs forever a Negroe man called Jack Wilcher a Negore Woman called Nell and her future Increase if any - Item. I give & bequeath to my daughter Betty Miller & her heirs forever two Negroe Women one called Jinny & one called Sarah a Negroe boy called Anthony & their future increase if any - Item. I give & bequeath to my daughter Nancy Austin & her heirs forever & Negroe man called George a Negroe boy called Lewis & a Negroe Woman called Jude and her future increase if any - Item. I give & bequeath to my daughter Patty Jones & her heirs forever one Negroe Woman called Amy & three Negroe boys to wit Parker, Burrell, & Wiatt and & a Negroe Girl called Doshia & their future increase if any - Item. I will & desire that at the decease of my wife all the Estate lent her & not otherwise disposed of be divided into seven equal parts of which I give to my Executors hereafter Named upon Trust for the use & benefit of my daughter Nancy Austin for & during her Natural life & at her decease the estate having given upon Trust to be equally divided among her the said Nancys Children or their legal representatives to them & their heirs forever - The other six parts I give to my six Children (Viz) David, John, Sarah, Susanna, Betty, and Patty to each one one part to them & their heirs forever and I do constitute & appoint my wife Susanna, my son John, my son in law William Rucker & my son David to execute this my last will & Testament. Frances Hunter At a Court held for Bedford County the 28th day of April 1800 This last will & Testament of Abraham North deceased was proved by the oath of Thomas L. Clayton & Frances Hunter & by the Solemn affirmation of William Tracy Witnesses & whose Names are thereto Subscribed & ordered to be recorded and on the Momition (motion written above) of John North, William Rucker & David North the Executors therein Named who made oath thereto certificate is granted them for obtaining probate in due form of giving Security whereupon they together with David Crenshaw Richard Hobson & Daivd Jones their Securities entered into & acknowledged their bond in the penalty of eight thousand Dollars conditioned for the said Executors due & faithful administration of said decendents estate & performance of his will liberty being reserved the Executrix therein named to join in the probate when she shall think fit.
