Present: Geo. Skillern, Revd. Adam Smyth, Joseph Martin, Wm. Walton & Jos. Looney, Gent. Justices. Whereas Wm. Terry was formerly recommended to act as Captain in the room of Captain Martin who was supposed then to be about to remove out of this County, but it now appearing that the said Martin proposes to continue the appointment of said Terry is set aside and the said Martin is continued in his office and Jesse Chamblin is appointed Lieutenant under said Martin. Hercules Ogle allowed 12/6 for one hundred weight of flour for use of the State. Leonard Huff, Robert Beavers and Job Hallbring ordered to view the way proposed for a road from the widow Tosh's to intersect a road in Little River leading from the lead mines to Richmond and make report thereof to court. Sheriff of this County ordered to summon 24 of the most capable & discreet freeholders in this County to appear at the next November Court to serve as a Grand Jury of Inquest for the body of this County. Elijah McClenachan allowed five pounds for attending a Continental soldier in the small pox.
