January 11, 1785.

    Jas. McCreary appointed Surveyor of the road in place of Benjamin Peck.

    Uriah Humphries, Second Lieutenant, and Jeremiah Beel, Ensign in Capt.
Pryor's Company of Militia.

    Samuel Watson bound to James Smith until he is 21 years old.

    James Robinson and Hugh Crockett appointed Surveyors of the Road from Fort
Lewis to Hans Meadows.

    Hugh Caldwell appointed Surveyor of the Road from Taylor's Mill to the old
mill ford on Craigs Creek, succeeding Henry Holston.

    Robert Calvert allowed 3 pounds, 6 shillings, for beef furnished the Militia.

    Pat Lockhart and Thomas Rowland appointed to bind out the children of
Rowland Bryant, to-wit: Thomas and James; also to bind out Samuel Watson to
Capt. John Smith.

    John Peck placed under bond for his good behavior for a year and a day.

    Joseph Burdan the same.

    Henry Holston, Jr. allowed 36 shillings for driving cattle for the state.

    Sheriff to have temporary repairs made to the prison.
