James Rutledge appointed Overseer of the Road in lieu of John Vanlier. Ordered that scire facias issue against Miles Terry and his security on his recognizance for a breach of the peace. John Cartmill and James Sharon took the oaths of a Justice of the Peace, of a Justice of the Couuty Court in Chancery, respectively. Edward McDonald, Joseph Snodgrass, David McClenachan and Walter Smiley ordered to view the way for a road from Holston's Branch to Robert Scanland's. James Rowland, Alexander McDonald, Wm. McClenachan and Johnathan Newman view the proposed way from the Iron Works to Sinking Spring Coaling Ground. John Strother's delinquents for the years 1784 and 1785 were allowed. Ordered that James Robinson, Michael Cloyd, John West and Robert Preston view the way proposed from the court house into the main road at John West's. Alexr. Smyth took oath as Deputy Clerk. The date of John Reaburn's commission as Lieut, is Aug. 13, 1781. October 11, 1786. Capt. John Mills directed to apply to Col. James Cullery for weights for the Inspector at Crow's Warehouse in this County. Adam Peck appointed to take charge of the weights and measures belonging to the County. James Mason appointed to make list of tithables in Capt. Cooley's Co., succeeding Edwd. Looney. October 19, 1786. David May took oath as Clerk of the County, George Hancock security. Andrew Lewis, Rowland Madison, Thomas Goodson, Wm. Goodson, and John Kent., Gent. took oaths of Justices of the Peace, Justices of the County Court in Chancery and Justices of Oyer and Terminer. Road ordered established from the Brunswick Iron Works to the Sinking Spring Coaling Ground. John Mills, Gent, took oath as Inspector of Tobacco at Crow's Warehouse, Patrick Lockhart security. The Grand Jury indicted the following persons: Wm. Hudson, Sr., Wm. Hudson, Jr., Christopher Husk, Elisha McCreary.
