Hugh Crockett took the oaths of Col. in the Militia of the County; James Burnett as Captain; James Reaburne as Ensign; Thomas Goodson, Jr, as Captain; Wallis Estill as Captain. John Kenny placed under bond for his good bohavior. Joseph Pryor and Samuel Mitchell securities. George Walker recommended as Lieut, in the Company commanded by Henry Walker, and Thomas Price Ensign. Samuel Todd, Wm. Davidson and Rowland Madison recommended as Commissioners for this County. March 14, 1787. Thomas Madison, Gent., Attorney for the Commonwealth, being about to resign, the court appointed George Hancock, Gent., to the said office, who took the required oath. William Spurlock appointed Lieut. in Capt. Goodson's Company, and Benjamin Thurman Ensign. Leave Granted Geo. Graham to include lands in one survey. Leave granted Wm. Watts to include lands in one survey. James Reaburne appointed Ensign in Capt. Watterson's Company. March 15, 1787. Pat Lockhart, Mathew Willson, James Rowland and David May ordered to view the way proposed by Robert Harvey for a road from his Iron Works to the south side of Loes Gap. March 16, 1787. Sheriff ordered to summon a jury of 12 freeholders to settle dispute over boundary line between Robert Shanklin and Isaac Taylor. Twelve freeholders summoned to settle dispute as to lands between Wm. McClenachan and Peter Evans. William Davidson, John Logan and Joseph Kent appointed Commissioners of the Land Tax. John Peck appointed Lieut, and Jas. Hawkins Ensign in Capt. Robinson's Company.
