Royall to keep a retail store in this County. Uriah Humphries, same. David May exempted from paying taxes on his late Negro Alise for the present year. James McFarran granted leave to include Lands in one survey. Christ. Haines appointed Overseer of the road in place of Adam Peck. Joseph Paxton took the oath as Captain of the Militia. Samuel McClure, same. Jean Savage, orphan of May Savage, decd, bound to Robert Dolridge. Joseph Pryor appointed Surveyor of the Road in place of Uriah Humphries. Ordered that the Sheriff summon John Harris, Jas. Snodgrass, Christian Haldeman, John Greybill, Amos Clark, Thos. Willson, Isaac Snodgrass, Pt. Snodgrass, Saml. Peary, James Crawford and John Camion to show cause why they should not be fined for not giving a list of their taxable property. Benjamin Kelly, Craigs Creek, exempted from payment of Parish and County levies.
