November 13, 1787.

    The Grand Jury returned the following presentments:

    James McCarroll toll as a miller.

    Wallace Estill for not keeping road in repair.

    Robert Shaddon for profane swearing two oaths.

    Peter Dierly the same for three oaths and a curse.

    Geo. Keezle, Henry Buford and Charles Davidson for unlawful gaming.

    Jacob Carper for permitting unlawful gaming in his tavern.


November 14, 1787.

   William Taylor placed under bond for his good behavior for 12 months and 1 day.

    William Taylor fined 10 pounds for insulting and abusing Samuel Walker,
Surveyor, in the execution of his office.

    William Taylor fined for contempt of court.

    Geo. Deal allowed 6 shillings for bringing the county weights from Mr.
Harvey's Iron Works to this Town.


November 15, 1787.

Joel Walker took the oath of Deputy Sheriff.


November 17, 1787.

    David May, Clerk of the Court, allowed 5 pounds for copying and furnishing
the Sheriff with list of taxable property for the year 1786.
