Moses Wilson appointed Constable, succeeding Samuel Woods. Thomas Goodson, Sr. took the oath of Overseer of the Poor. William Anderson admitted Assistant County Surveyor. William Gillespy appointed Overseer of the Road, succeeding Wallace Estill. John Pitzer appointed Constable, succeeding Nicholas Sharkey. Samuel Kennerly appointed Overseer of the Road, succeeding Thomas Miller. Ordered that the Sheriff advertise the building of a prison for this County, on the second day of next court. June 8, 1788. Paul Davies exempted from payment of County and Parish levies on account of his infirmities. Same order for Daniel Hubble. Jacob Picklesimer appointed Surveyor of the Road, succeeding George Booth. Alexander Sprawl appointed Constable, succeeding Thomas McCalister. Christopher H. Clarke, Gent, took the oath of an attorney. Jacob Carnes appointed Surveyor of the Road, succeeding Joseph Haynes. Abraham Dick, same, succeeding John Sproul. George Hancock exempted from paying taxes for a blind Negro man named Tony. License granted Archibald Murry to retail goods. Ordered that John Smyth, Henry Walker, James Briant and Michael Toomey view the different ways for a wagon road from the land of Alexander Smyth on Craigs Creek to this Court House. The Court proceeded to lay the levy for this County.
