Proved that Andrew Johnston is oldest son and heir at law of Ezekiel Johnston who was killed in the Virginia Militia serving in North Carolina. Marks Bigler exempted from payment of County and Parish levies until he recovers from his present infirmities. John Smith admitted as Assistant Surveyor of the County. View taken of wagon road from James Wilson's Mill into the public road at Joshua Bean's house. Henry Hoistine, Jr., admitted Surveyor of the Road. February 9, 1791. George Stephenson, orphan child, bound to Patrick McCown. James Reburn admitted Deputy Sheriff. The Grand Jury presents the following: John Casey, Surveyor of the Road, not keeping same in repair. True bills against Stephen Hughes, Joseph Norman and John Nowell.
