John Coalter admitted to practice in this Court as an attorney. The Grand Jury presented the following: Surveyors of the Highway from Mrs. Breckenridge's to Tinkers Creek; same from Joseph Pryor's to Hugh Allen's; same from John Cartmill's to Audley Paul's; same from Joshua Bean's Shop to the Courthouse, not keeping roads in repair. Henry Wax, refusing to grind the grain of Samuel Kennerly. Joseph Pryor appointed Inspector of Tobacco at Crow's Warehouse. Wm. Lewis, recommended to the Governor as Captain of the Militia, James Neelly (son of Wm. Neelly) as Lieutenant, and David Wade as Ensign. August 15, 1792. William Bilbro appointed by Gov. Henry Lee as additional Inspector of Tobacco at Crow's Warehouse. Ordered that William Royall and George Hancock view the building erected at the Sweet Springs for the purpose of holding the District Court. August 16, 1792 John Defere placed under bond for his good behavior. Thomas Melone placed under bond to keep the peace. Felty Wysong and Andrew L. Crow securities. August 17, 1792 Trustees of Fincastle given leave to sell lot on which the Federal Spring rises.
