Road established from the head of Holstin's Branch to Robert Scantland's. Robert Caldwell, son of Samuel Caldwell, decd., bound to Allen Jones, blacksmith. Moses Wilson appointed overseer of the highway. Jacob Siler appointed guardian of Elizabeth Rider, orphan of Peter Rider, decd. Hugh Allen and John Smith appointed Commissioners of the Revenue Tax. John Shaver appointed Surveyor of the Highway. License granted Thomas King to keep an ordinary at his house in the Town of Fincastle. Henry Cluck appointed Surveyor of the Highway. Sheriff ordered to make necessary repairs to the court house. George Hancock resigned office as State's Attorney.
