The grand jury presented the following: Robert Owens and a woman by the name of Bell, living together in fornication. William Hawkins, not keeping road in repair. Surveyors of the road from the ford of Catawba to Town, and from thence to Walter Smiley's, and from thence to the County line, for not keeping same in repair. Surveyor from Town to Michael Cloyd's, not keeping same in repair. Surveyor from Capt. Paul's to the branch on the south side of Capt. Cartmill's old place, not keeping same in repair. Surveyor from the fork near Town to Major Rowland's, not keeping same in repair. March 11, 1795. Williston Talbott admitted as Deputy Sheriff. Adam Fisser placed under bond for his good behavior; Charles Spangler and Jacob Keffer securities.
