Samuel Mitchell (Methodist) granted license to celebrate the rites of matrimony. The Grand Jury presented the following: True bill against Thomas Sharrad. John Gish, retailing liquors. True bill against John Henry. Robert Snodgrass and Elizabeth his wife placed under bond for their good behavior. Elijah McClenachan took oath of Captain of the Militia. Andrew Lewis, Jr., took oath as Lieutenant of the Militia. August 14, 1795 The following appointed Processioners in this County: Johnathan Tosh, Robert Neelly, Samuel Crawford, George Spotts, David Shanks, Curtis Alderson, Peter Noftsinger, Robert Anderson, Sr., James Peery, Isaac Snodgrass, Nathan Eakin, Johnathan Martin, Jacob Parsinger, George Poage, John Douglas, John Pitzer, Sr., Uriah Humphries, Samuel McClue, William Hawkins, William Bilbro, Henry Cartmill, Elisha Lackland, and John Mills, the said Processioners to examine their business the first day of February next, and make return thereof before the last day of March following. The Court doth request that in future they may be addressed with no other title than the court.
