July 12, 1796

    Zaddock Nutter appointed Surveyor of the Highway.

    Adam Fizer appointed Constable.

    John H. Madison qualified to practice as an attorney.

    William Linton granted license to keep an ordinary at Red Springs.

    Catherine Woodland bound to Williston Talbott.

    Margaret Woodland bound to George Deal.

    Ephriam Dunbar bound to Jacob Carper, tanner.

    Sheriff ordered to collect from each tithable 50 cents.

   James O'Bryant, Charles Hedrick, Henry Carper, Isaac Dawson, allowed pay for
services as patrolers in First Batallion for last year.

    James Bryant allowed pay for services as patroler in First Batallion for the
present year.

    Charles Hedrick, John Nugent and Francis Fleshart allowed pay for services
as patrollers in First Batallion during present year.

    James Breckinridge, Henry Bowyer and John Miller appointed to contract for
the building of a Clerk's office on the courthouse common, not to exceed 200
pounds in price.
