Robert McMurray placed under bond to maintain base born child. Road Altered from the Cowpasture down James River. September 14, 1796 John H. Madison took oath as Ensign of the Militia. Charles Beale took oath as Second Lieutenant of Cavalry in the Militia. September 22, 1796 Jacob Custard examined for biting off ear of George Linkenhoger, and placed under bond for his appearance before the grand jury.
