Joel Bott appointed Surveyor of the Highway. William Craddock ordered to pay $40.00 to his wife Jane, for her support until June 1, next. Robert Preston took oath of Lieutenant of the Militia of this County. Robert Dalzell took oath of Ensign of the Militia of this County. Jacob Gish and Abraham Gish exempted from working on the highway of which Joseph Snodgrass is Surveyor. Joseph Snodgrass same as above, of which Robert Preston is surveyor. October 12, 1796 Thomas Rowland granted leave to build a grist mill on his own land. David Wade made Commissioner of the Tax for the upper end of this County. John Douglas made Commissioner of the Tax for the lower end of this County.
