September 12, 1797

    Peter Dishner appointed guardian of Dolly, Susannah, Peter and Sally Moyer,
children of Jacob Moyer, decd.

    John Lee bound to Daniel Goodman.

    John Moore appointed Surveyor of the Road.

    Martha Griffy bound to Robert Owens.

    Elizabeth Griffy bound to John Webb.

    Road established from this courthouse, via Christopher Fringer's, lands of
Matthew Harvey, across Catawba, until it intersects with the road leading from
John Moores to Brunswick Forge.

    Thomas Wade imprisoned for 10 days and placed under bond for his good
behavior for breach of the peace.

    John McCrery placed under bond for his good behavior, Henry Bowyer and James
Breckinridge securities.


September 13, 1797

    Thomas Price appointed Surveyor of the Road.

    Thomas Wilson appointed Surveyor of the Highway.

    Alexander Lewis appointed Surveyor of the Highway.

    David Kean appointed Surveyor of the Highway.

    William Norvill and John Halloway appointed Commissioners of the Revenue Tax.


September 14, 1797

    William Shankin appointed Constable.

    Thomas Boyd appointed guardian of Joseph Houston, son of William Houston.

    License granted Thomas Simpson to keep an ordinary at his house.

    John Switzer appointed Constable.

    John Hamilton placed under bond to keep the peace, William Ritchey and
Joseph Kyle securities.
