August 14, 1798

    William McClenachan appointed Guardian of Johnathan, Susannah, Sarah, Nancy,
Martin, and Abraham Mason, children of Martin Mason, decd.

    The grand jury made the following presentments:

    John Miller, retailing liquors at the Sweet Springs.

    Overseer of the Road from Englehart's to Henry's, not keeping same in repair.

    John Gold placed under bond to keep the peace, John Beale and Joseph Grigs
securities.

    John Miller placed under bond to keep the peace, George Hancock and Henry
Bowyer securities.

    John Haden admitted Deputy Sheriff.


August 16, 1798

    Dennis McCarty and Peter Wax fined placed under bond for their good
behayior, Matther Harvey and Christopher Fringer, securities for Peter Wax; John
Duke and John Robinson securities for Dennis McCarty.


August 17, 1798

    George Skillern took oath of Overseer of the Poor.

    Sampson Sawyers, Gent., resigned as Justice of the Peace.
