March 12, 1799.

   License granted Peter Circle to keep an ordinary at his house.

   The grand jury presented the following:

   Surveyor of the road thru Cruleys Gap, not keeping same in repair.

   Same from Bakers Ford on James River to top of Beanes Hill.

   Dennis McCarty and Benjamin Carper for breach of the peace.

   John McNeal bonded for his good behavior.
