Road altered as follows: from the forks of the road below Thomas Hammon's until it intersects the old road above the Big Lick, and the former way discontinued. License granted John Kenning to keep an ordinary at his house. Road established from Speedwell Furnace to the Bedford line at the mouth of Back Creek. Samuel Reed appointed Overseer of said road. William Taylor appointed Surveyor of the streets in Pattonsburg. James Mason appointed Coroner of this County. January 16, 1800. Abraham Good, age 6 years, bound to George Hepler, nailor. Fine inflicted on Peter Wax for failing to serve as a juror is remitted. Thomas Merret, with his securities James Risque and Allen Taylor gave bond for said Merret's good behavior for twelve months from this date. The next court was held beginning February 11, 1800.
