Present. Wm. Fleming, George Skillern, Benjamin Hawkins and Philip Love, Gent. This court doth appoint George Poage Surveyor of the Road from Pedlar Ford to Bullard's Spring in the room of John Crawford, who is dischd. from that office. This court doth appoint Thomas McFerran Surveyor of the Road from Bullard's Spring to the Lick Run. Ordered that John Tracey be exempted from the payment of County and Parish Levy in future on account of his infirmities. This court doth appoint John Henderson, Junr., Surveyor of the Road from Samuel Robinson's to the County line and Walter Stewart from the said Robinson's to the head of Catawba, and the hands belonging to the Precincts respectively to attend them and work thereon. Samuel Walker came into court and took the usual oaths to his Majesty's Person & Govt., repeated & subscd. the test, and also took the oath of a Deputy Sheriff.
