Present: Geo. Skillern, Wm. Ward, Wm. Neelly, Win. Davidson & Pat Lockhart, Gent. Justices. James Rowland is apptd. a Commissioner of the Taxes in this County in the room of Andrew Woods, Gentleman, decd. A licence is grtd. to Peter Wright to keep an ordinary at his house in this County he having entd. into bond with Palser Kinterlure, his security, acedg. to law. James Tosh is apptd. Second Lieut, in Captain Neelley's Company of Militia & Mathcw Scott Ensign. On the petition of Robert Harvey leave is grtd. him to build a water grist mill on Burden's Run, a branch of Catawba, upon his own land. Ord. that the following rates be observed by the ordinary keepers in this County, towit: L S D Breakfast with tea or coffee 12 0 0 do. without do 9 0 0 Dinner 9 0 0 Lodging one night 3 18 0 Whiskey per half pint 3 0 0 Corn per gallon 3 12 0 Oats per gallon 3 12 0 Stablagc with fodder or hay for a horse one night 3 12 6 Oats per sheaf 1 16 0 Cyder or beer per quart 3 0 0 Pasturage for a horse one night 3 0 0 Geo. Rutledge is apptd. Capt. in the Militia of this County in the room of James Woods. Joseph Anderson is exempted from paying County levy in future on acct. of his age & infirmity. Wm.
