Present: Revd. Adam Smyth, James Barnett, Wm. Davidson and Wm. Neelley, Gent. Justicez. [sic] Samuel Taylor is set levy free on acct. of his age & infirmity. Cen Dougherty do. Ord. that Wilbo, a mulatto boy now living with Mr. John Neelly, be bound to him accdg. to law. John Henry on Barber's Creek is exempt from paying levies in future on account of his age & infirmity. The last will & testament of Andrew Woods, Gent., decd., was prestd. in ct. by Martha, Andrew & Jas. Woods, the Exors. therein named, & was prvd. by the oaths of Robert Harris, Junr., Andrew Clark, Wm. Ward and Mathew Willson, the witns. thereto, & ord. to be recd. And on the motion of the sd. Exors. certif. is grtd. them for obtg. a probate thereof in due form. Whereupon they made oath & entd. into and acknd. bond in the sum of three thousand pounds specie accdg. to law. Ord. that John Bailer take a list of tithables within the bounds of his own and Captain Hanley's Company of Militia. Wm. Hamilton the same in Captain Galloway's Company. Wm. Davidson the same in Captain Pryor's Company. Martin McFarran the same in Captain Smith's Company. Thomas Rowland the same in Captain Mills' Company. Geo. Skillern the same in Capt. Cartmill's Company. Adam Smyth the same in Capt. May's and Capt. Lockhart's Companies. Robert Poage the same in Capt. Paulin's Company. Wm. Walton the same in Capt. Neelly's & Capt. Lewis' Companies. Geo. Rutledge the same in Capt. Watterson's Company. James Barnett the same in his own Company. Saml. Eason the same in his own Company. Josiah Martin the same in his own Company. John Armstrong the same in Capt. Holston's & Capt. Looney's Companies who are severally to return a list thereof to the court. Ord. that the tithables on Craig's Creek who were formerly ordered to open a road to Crawford's Mill be dischd. therefrom. Ord. that Thomas Arnett & Andrew Crawford being first sworn do view the way from James Willson's on Craig's Creek to the widow Crawford's & make report thereof to the court. Wm. McClehachan is apptd. Lieut. Colo, of the Militia in this County in the room of Thos. Rowland who resigned his office; Pat Lockhart Major and John Baird Captain in the Company late Hanley's, and Geo. Frazier First Lieut, in sd. Company. Elijah Vinsandt is apptd. Ensign in Capt. Smith's Company of Militia. Henry Watterson is apptd. Capt. of the Militia in the room of Geo. Rutledge, John Rutledge First Lieut. and Joseph Reaburne, Junr., Second Lieut. in sd. Company. Isaac Robinson is apptd. Second Lieu. in Capt. Pauling's Co. of Militia. Ord. that the ct. be adjd. till ct. in course.
