Barns 170 acres Botetourt Ex.d pg. 241 Beverley Randolph Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that Virtue and in consideration of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number fifteen thousand five hundred and forty six Issued the Twenty third day of April one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty pg. 242 Eighty three, There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Thomas Barns; a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing one hundred and Seventy Acres by Survey bearing Date the fifteenth day of May one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five lying and being in the County of Botetourt on the Waters of Mason's Creek a branch of Roanoak and bounded as followeth To Wit, Beginning at a Spanish oak and running NorthWest forty six poles to a white oak Sapling North Eighty five Degrees West Seventy Poles to a pine North twenty five degrees West twenty Six pole to a white oak North West forty poles to two pines thence North twenty degree West thirty poles to a pine thence North Two degrees West two hundred poles to three pines thence South Eighty degrees West one hundred poles to four pines thence South twenty eight degrees East four hundred poles to two Grown Oaks North East one hundred and Seventy four poles to the Beginning with is Appurtenances to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its Appurtenances to the said Thomas Barns and his heirs forever In Witness whereof the said Beverley Randolph Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond the thirteenth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Seven and of the Commonwealth Twelfth.
