Andrew Lewis dec'd of Botetourt County. It seldom falls to the duty of friendship to notice the death of an individual so highly intresting and deserving as Miss Lewis. She had just arrived at that period of life, in which the charms of youth and beauty, shed their brightest attractions on the female character, in full possession of every blessing that could render life desirable, she was suddenly snached from the fond embrace of her friends, and hurried to that bourne from whence no travler returneth - but not without a lively hope of an interest in the atonement of the Great High Priest of Israel, and of a joyful admittance into the presence of her Heavenly Father. If every soft and fascinating grace Could fron disease one lovely vie-tim save; Protect a mortal from death's cold embrace. Or rescue merit from an early grave; She might have "flourished in imortal youth," By all adm'd and by all belov'd; Emblsm of beauty, innocence, and truth Adoreing ev'ry circle where she moved. But ah! how soon has fate's relentless way Snach'd from our sight, the pride of nature's art.
