Francisco, widow of the celebrated Peter Francisco, of revolutionary memory, died in Fincastle, on the 8th inst., at the residence of her son-in-law, Joseph V. CARPER, Esq. Mrs. Francisco was born in England, in Brompton, the western suburb of the Metropolis, on the 12th of July, 1782. By the death of her parents she was early left as orphan. Thus, at the age of five years she became a member of the family of her grandmother, Mrs. Randolph, who resided in the city of London. At about the age of fifteen years she sailed to America, landed upon Virginia soil and became an inmate of the household of her uncle, Gov. R. HAVING (?), remained two or three years in the family of the Governor, she was received into the family of her uncle Phillip L. GRIMES, of Brandon, Middlesex county, with whom she resided until about the time of her marriage with Major WEST, a wealthy planter of Virginia. Of this marriage she left three daughters, whose families are respected citizens of the State which she adopted as her home on her arrival in the United States. Being left a widow, she married Peter Francisco, the soldier of revolutionary memory.
