Item 2nd, I desire that my honest debts shall be paid out of the proceeds of so much of my property, either personal or real as may be necessary for this purpose. Item 3rd. I give, bequeath, and devise to my beloved wife Catherine and my son Henry N. Bishop all of my property both personal and real of every description after my debts shall have been paid as before directed, the equal division of my property between my wife and son may be made upon my plan agreed upon by them my beloved wife and son. Item 4th. I hereby appoint and constitute Jacob J. Bishop my executor to carry out my desires as above stated, this being my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others here to fore made by me. Witness my hand and seal this 2nd day of April in the year of one thousand eight hundred and sixty five. G. Sperry James W. Shuey At a court of monthly session held at the court house for Botetourt County on Monday the 8th day of May 1865. This last will and testement of John Bishop decd' was produced in court, and proved according to law by the oaths of Jacob G. Sperry and James W. NOTE: The description in the stamping of the probate of this will of John Bishop, has been corrected persuant to law; the origional will having been duely stamped for probate on the 29th of July 1867, by L R Stirling Collector of the 6th District of Virginia, with a revenue stamp to the amount of one dollar.
