Will of Lucy Camper, 1850 - Botetourt Co. VA

(Submitter note: Lucy Camper's Will, recorded in Botetourt County will book H, page 149. This 
will was transcribed from a photo copy of the original will found at Botetourt Co. Court House 
in August 1999 by Peggy Miller.)

This is to certify that this is my last Will and Testament.  In the first place, I wish all my 
just debts, and funeral expenses to be paid out of my personal estate.

Item, I give and bequeath to Fatima Camper, half a dozen plates and my little table.

I appoint Thomas C. Falls my sole Executor and I wish him to dispose of the balance of my 
personal estate at public sale.

Item I give and bequeath to my two sister's, Maryann Craft and Sicily Bussy ten dollars each.

Item I give and bequeath to Eliza Jane Falls, the wife of Thomas C. Falls, five dollars.

Item I give and bequeath to Rachel Camper, the wife of Alfred Camper, five dollars.

Item I give and bequeath to Mary Kessler, five dollars.

Item I give and bequeath the balance of my estate to Nancy Scheuck, the wife of Ralph Scheuck, 
Thomas C. Falls, Matilda Camper, Fatima Camper, Maryann Craft, Sicily Bussy and Rachel Camper, 
share and share alike.         October the 9th 1850.

This instrument of writing, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Lucy Camper dec'd. 
was produced in Court, proved by the oaths of David Bower and Philip Kessler subscribing 
witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
