Blaylock Leona Virginia Lunsford Blaylock, 80, of 704 Goodson St., Bristol, Va., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at the home of her daughter. She was a life long resident of Bristol Virginia, a daughter of the late James H. and Hattie Rhea Lunsford, and was the widow of William Edward Blaylock, her husband for 50 years. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Spoone and Thelma Malcolm; and a granddaughter, Tamara Brooks. Survivors include her daughter, Arlene Brooks and her husband, Randall of Bristol Virginia; two sons, Philip Blaylock of Bristol Virginia, and Gregory Blaylock of Atlanta; two sisters, Novella Quillen of Kingsport and Beulah Hartsock of Bristol Virginia; one brother, Robert Lunsford of Essex, Md.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Chapel of Blevins Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Statzer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 1:45 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the home of Arlene and Randall Brooks. The committal service and burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Brooks, Bill Brooks, Mark Brooks, Wayne Brooks, Roger Brooks, Earl Inman, Howard Widener, Roger Jackson and Mike Eades.
