He was born in Bristol but spent most of his life doing what he loved...driving a truck. He retired from CFI four years ago. He was the son of the late Lewis and Sarah Jane Cardwell. He is survived by one son, Kelly Cardwell of Springdale, Ark.; daughter, Donna Crisum of Witt Springs, Ark.; sisters, Clara Melvin, Lynne Wright, Ruth Simerly and Barbara Davis, all of the Bristol area; and two brothers, Gerald Cardwell of Church Hill, Tenn., and Hal Cardwell of Bristol Tennessee. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Kehrer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
