Mrs. Carrier was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol. She and her late husband Paul Fred Carrier owned and operated Carrier's Dairy Queen for many years. She was a founder and charter member of Fellowship Chapel. She loved her church and her friends at the church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Wilcox; two sisters; and three brothers. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Mrs. Carrier is survived by four daughters, Dolores Rosenberg of Grand Blanc, Mich., Evelyn Scott and husband Bob of Mt. Holly, N.C., Shelby Bailey and husband George of Bristol Tennessee, and Kathy Shipley and husband Lynn of Kingsport; two sons, Ron Carrier and wife Shirley of Bristol Virginia and Randall Carrier and wife Betty of Bristol Tennessee; and two sisters, Corintha Hudson of Bristol Virginia and Claudine Connor of Orlando, Fla. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at 3 p.m. from the Fellowship Chapel with Rev. Lester MacKinnon, Dr. Darin Kress and Rev. Scott Price officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Rosenberg, Mark Scott, Russell Scott, Ronald Carrier II, Tyson Kress, Bradley Wilcox, Andrew Goad, Carl Coalson Jr. and Darrell Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Fellowship Chapel Choir, deacons and members of the Dorcas Circle and Gleaners Circle. Those desiring may make memorials to Fellowship Chapel or the Dorcas Circle. Condolences may also be sent to the family at akardfh@peercom.net.
