Stephenson EAST POINT, Ga. -- David Wilson Stephenson, of 2913 Kimmeridge Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Havaco, W.Va., he was a son of the late John W. Stephenson and Georgia Hawkins Stephenson. He was a graduate and star athlete at Virginia High School in Bristol Virginia, and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia where he also played football and basketball. He retired from Fulton County Schools where he taught mathematics at Hapeville High School. He coached several years at Monticello High School. He is survived by daughter, Sherry Yvonne Stephenson, Peachtree City, Ga.; son, Johnny French Stephenson, East Point; granddaughter, Lara Fleming, Peachtree City; and great-grandsons, Uriah and Zebediah Hernandez, Peachtree City. Graveside services will be held Thursday in Chattanooga, Tenn. H.M. Patterson & Son of Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.
