Mrs. Hall was a native of Bristol Virginia, made her home in Florida for 27 years and returned to Bristol in July of 1973. She was the daughter of the late William H. and Ella Webb Phipps, and the widow of E.A. "Butch" Hall. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Phipps and Harold Phipps. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Ruth Elkins Phipps of Bristol Virginia; two nieces, Carolyn Ann Hicks of Bristol Tennessee, and Linda Woodard of Lafayette, La.; two nephews, Bill Phipps of Knoxville and Dale Phipps of Kingsport; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Mountain View Cemetery with Dr. Bill Goforth officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mausoleum Chapel. E-mail condolences to the family may be sent at akardfh@peercom.net.
