Nichols Harless Ruby E. Nichols Harless, 78, of 717 Dakota Road, Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Harless was born April 5, 1924, in Iroquois, W.Va., a daughter of the late John A. and Cora Jones Nichols, and has made her home in the Bristol area most of her life. She was a former employee of Kelly and Green and a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Harless was the widow of Melvin E. "Gene" Harless. She is survived by a son, Mark E. Harless and his wife Teresa; grandchildren, Lauren Lampkins and her husband, Brian, and Katelan Harless; great-grandchildren, Cainan and Kaleb; brother, Roby Nichols; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mountain View Cemetery with Pastor Bob Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mausoleum Chapel and other times at the home at 717 Dakota Road. E-mail condolences may be online at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
