He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a lifelong member of Lynbrook, N.Y., Fire Department and a member of Richmond Hill Moose Lodge 14 in Queens, N.Y. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Lucille Bruzzo; three sons, Dr. Peter Bruzzo of Marion, and Jeffrey Thomas Bruzzo and John Harry Bruzzo, both of Valley Stream, N.Y.; a sister, Louise Kunkel of Odessa, Texas; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He worked as a truck driver with Whiteco Industries of Merrillville, Ind., from 1964-87. He worked at Babcock Stone Quarry in Rensselaer for nine years. While living in Virginia, he was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with Company C of the 20th Infantry from 1944-46. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Castlewood. Isaac H. Shrader CEDAR BLUFF -- Isaac Henry "Hank" Shrader, former mayor of Cedar Bluff and civic leader in the Richlands area, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at his home in the Indian Creek section. He was 78. He was born in Bland County, Va., a son of the late John Ed and Eva Maude Birch Shrader, both Bland County natives. He had lived in the Richlands area most of his life. He was owner of Shrader's, Inc. of Richlands and was a member and elder of Cedar Bluff Presbyterian Church. Mr. Shrader was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving with the 4th Division in the South Pacific. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and several other medals. He was a member and past commander of the Casey Shortt VFW Post 9640 of Richlands, a member of Tazewell County Chapter 31 DAV and a founding and charter member of the Marine Corps League Southwest Virginia Detachment 980. In 1999, he received the Distinguished Citizen Gold Medal Award, the highest award presented by the National Marine Corps League. He was a former Citizen of the Year in Richlands, a member and past director of the Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of the SCV, Brown Harman Nighthawks of Tazewell. He was also a charter member of the Historical Crab Orchard Museum and a past director of the First Virginia//Clinch Valley Bank and Trust of Richlands. Isaac H. Shrader CEDAR BLUFF -- Isaac Henry "Hank" Shrader, former mayor of Cedar Bluff and civic leader in the Richlands area, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at his home in the Indian Creek section. He was 78. He was born in Bland County, Va., a son of the late John Ed and Eva Maude Birch Shrader, both Bland County natives. He had lived in the Richlands area most of his life. He was owner of Shrader's, Inc. of Richlands and was a member and elder of Cedar Bluff Presbyterian Church. Mr. Shrader was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving with the 4th Division in the South Pacific. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and several other medals. "Mom Ruth" modeled her Christian virtues to all who knew her. She was a woman whose thoughts always were of family and friends. She was an honored and respected member of the First Baptist Church of Galveston. "Mom Ruth" was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery on Friday, May 12. She is rejoicing in the Lord for all eternity. He was born in Whitetop, Va., had lived in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and worked in steel factories before moving to Abingdon in 1967. He retired from Purolater Courier. He was a Christian and a member of Greendale Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Olive Riffey; a daughter, Debra R. Ireson of Kingsport; a sister, Blanche Payne of Whitetop, Va.; a granddaughter, Sunshine Renee Hall of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Whitetop Baptist Church by Farris Funeral Service. The Revs. Jerry Eggers and T.A. Pennington will officiate. Mr. Rouse, 74, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He was a son of the late Charles and Carrie Rouse and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Irene Rouse; three daughters, Pamela R. Miller of Elizabethton and Carolyn R. Eller and Barbara R. Miller, both of Marion; three sons, Dennis Rouse of Galax, Va., and Bobby Rouse and Larry Rouse, both of Marion; two sisters, Ora Lee Snavely of Wytheville and Edith Wymer of Marion; four brothers, Elmer Rouse, Ellis Rouse and Freddy Rouse, all of Seven Mile Ford, Va., and Leon Rouse of Atkins, Va.; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rouse was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Rouse. Among survivors are sons-in-law Jerry Miller of Elizabethton and Cecil Eller of Marion; daughters-in-law Anne Rouse of Galax and Joanne Rouse and Pearl Rouse, both of Marion. Margaret Naomi Shular Margaret Naomi Shular, 77, of Bristol Tennessee, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Blowing Rock, N.C., a daughter of Florence Moody Jenkins of Bristol Tennessee and the late Bertie K. Jenkins, and had spent most of her life in the Bristol area. She was retired from the /{Bristol Herald Courier/}. Surviving, besides her mother, are a daughter, Linda Warner of Knoxville; a sister, Irene Baker of Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Dean B. Jenkins of North Canton, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery by Akard Funeral Home. The Rev.
