She was past president of Ladies Auxiliary Post 9600, a charter member of VFW, a member of Eastern Star 67 and a member of the National Council of Senior Citizens of Pound. Surviving are her husband, Burlin Cantrell; three brothers, Carlton Crabtree of Clintwood, Clyde Crabtree of Novi, Mich., and Tom Crabtree of Orchard Lake, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was born in Bristol Tennessee, a son of the late Orville B. and Nancy Pauline Biggs Meade, and had lived in the Mount Sidney area since 1959, moving from Russell County. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was employed with Smith's Transfer until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 29 and attended the Methodist church.
